everything happens for a reasonIt’s been awhile since I checked in with my top reads of the week!  Thought I’d share where my mind is this week.

1. I was so excited this morning when I saw someone I follow on Instagram – @PoppyLocks published an ebook with her pancake recipes. You should probably go check out her instagram feed- it’s seriously drool worthy! The best part about these pancakes is they are packed with protein, something that I’ve come to realize I need to incorporate more into my diet.  Anyways, I bought the ebook (less than $10)  and ordered some of the protein powder she recommended. Can’t wait to make breakfast – in fact, we might have breakfast for dinner the night my protein arrives :)

2. This CNN article with tips on how to stop kipping your workouts was calling my name last week. It’s time for this lady to get back on the bandwagon!

3. In the summertime I like to head into work earlier to get a jumpstart on my day.  I enjoyed this Elite Daily article highlighting ways being a morning person can improve your life.  There were lots of valid reasons, although I don’t think you’ll see me getting up at 3:30am anytime soon- unless it’s to catch a flight and even then I’ll be grumpy!

4. This isn’t really a read, but this weekend I learned how to AirDrop files between iPhones and I just used it to AirDrop a website from my phone to my MacBook for this post.  Yet again, it is confirmed I must live under a rock. Anyway, maybe you are like me and you live under a rock too? If so, this article is super helpful for iPhone to MacBook AirDrops and this article should help for iPhone to iPhone (or iPad/iPod)AirDrops. This will make sharing pictures when out with girlfriends so.much.easier!

5. Now for the article I sent to myself, how your personality affects your weight.  It had some good tips on how to use your personality to help you lose weight, instead of working against it.  I thought it was an interesting read!

If the above articles are any indication, my mind has been on my weight a lot lately.  I’ll be revising my July goals and setting August goals tomorrow night, it’s going to be a rough check in but I need the accountability; it’s time to stop the downward spiral!

Happy Monday friends, make Tuesday a great day!
